Currently we aim to graduate at least 50 students annually, and -more importantly- at least 40 of them should find a job (80%). Training is merely a means to an end, as our goal is to help our graduates find a stable job with a decent salary (see also our core values here). Quality of impact over quantity.
In 2020/21 we conducted a study together with Avance Consulting to take a closer look at our impact beyond employment. 73 students took part in the survey. A summary of our findings include the following: 1. From the HYF graduates that found a job, 75% did not have a paid job before HYF.
2. Those HYF grads that were employed before starting the HYF program saw a sharp increase in income. Before HYF 86% earned less than EUR2000 net per month (64% less than EUR1500 a month). After HYF, of those with a job, around 80% earned more than EUR2000 per month. This means additional family income but also tax increases for the central government.
3. After graduation we help our students find a job. However, even those students that drop out during the program, or those that do not immediately find a job upon graduation, believe HYF increases their chances to find high-quality employment (an average of 4.1 on a scale of 1-5, with 1 being not at all and 5 all because of HYF).

Over 66% of the respondents said that HackYourFuture has helped them to start new meaningful friendships, and 66% also says they continue to stay in touch with the friends they made after graduation. More than 50% even describe these friendships as close and meaningful.
